Journey of Hope in DC June 24th

Washington DC area Journey of Hope Tour

 Sunday, June 24, 2012 – 6:00pm @  The Festival Center – 1640 Columbia Rd. NW
Come hear ordinary people affected by extraordinary violence share their powerful stories about the process of healing through reconciliation. Contending with arguments that the death penalty provides justice and closure for family and friends of murder victims, these storytellers share from personal experience about the need for forgiveness and compassion following the tragedy of murder. Refusing vengeance, they call for an end to the death penalty and the cycle of violence it perpetuates in our society.

Sponsored by the Servant Leadership School (www.slschool.org).  Journey of Hope…From Violence to Healing is an organization led by murder victim family members committed to the abolition of the death penalty and promotion of restorative justice (www.journeyofhope.org).
