Support Troy Davis!

As you may have heard last week, the nation is rallying around Troy Davis, as he has been given yet another execution date, September 21st.  We know that it is important for the Georgia Board of Pardons and Paroles to know that the whole country, and in fact the whole world, is watching.

On the Global Day of Solidarity for Troy, this Friday, September 16th at 6pm, we hope to assemble a diverse crowd of supporters in Columbia Heights at Tivoli Square.  Around 7pm, we will march to St. Stephen’s Church a few blocks away, for a brief program of speakers.  Please see NCADP’s action alert for more information about the event, and email Jiva (dpac@aiusa.org) if you would like to play a role in organizing the rally and march.

Please spread the word about this event to your friends, family, faith communities, co-workers — we only have a few days to bring together as many people as possible, so start talking to folks today!  Thank you in advance for your support!
